"Asia" is our beloved high percentage Wolf hybrid. She was whelped from a 100% Timberland Wolf Sire. Her dam is 25% Red Wolf, 25% German Shepherd, and 50% Timberland Wolf.

While Wolf hybrids can make wonderful pets, especially when mixed with German Shepherds such as we do, keep in mind they are not for the inexperienced dog owner!  Due to their higher level of intelligence, they can be stubborn, calculating, aloof, and a bit shy. Wolves also have a much stronger prey drive than a domesticated dog.

 The "Alpha training technique" will NOT work with a hybrid.  Heavy handed training not only breaks your tie with your pup but also fosters fear and mistrust preventing socialization training, and bonding.  Give your hybrid lots of love and attention.  Training and socialization is essential throughout a hybrid's life.

 Each Hybrid will pick up genetic material from both the Wolf parent and the Domesticated Dog parent. However, how much, or how little of each quality that will be expressed in the individual Hybrid is entirely up to the luck of the genetic draw. At Mid-Creek Shepherds we spend every day with our "pack" and pay close attention to the developing personalities of our puppies. In this manner we can ensure that "the right puppy" will go to "the right home".

Our Guarantee: We do not want our animals to end up in a shelter or elsewhere.  We will take the animal back into our pack regardless of the circumstances.  We will remain in contact with you for updates.

They are a challenge to the average dog owner.  It takes much research and patience to become an owner of a hybrid regardless of the content.  They are magnificent companions with the right upbringing, patience, and responsible ownership.
